Beautiful fully authorized re-issue of the famous poster « Sports d’Hiver »
« The image displays a vintage Art Deco travel poster titled "Sports d'Hiver" (Winter Sports), created by French artist Georges Arou in 1931.
The poster was commissioned by the P-L-M (Paris-Lyon-Méditerranée) Railway Company to promote winter tourism in the French Alps.
It is considered potentially the earliest skiing poster to feature a woman actively skiing downhill, in a dynamic pose, rather than a static one.
The Art Deco style, with its bold design, aimed to position skiing and winter travel as widely accessible.
