Monumental coupe on a figurative plinth, Art Deco spirit, in cut and satin crystal
Display bowl resting on a spectacular figurative pedestal representing a draped young woman, in a hieratic and elegant pose, supporting the basin above her head. The ensemble captivates with its architected and theatrical silhouette, possessing strong decorative impact.
The bowl, of generous diameter, is made of cut crystal with wide lancet-like ribs, animated in the lower part by a rich pattern of latticework and facets. Oval reserves with a satin finish, almost frosted, rhythm the body and create a refined contrast with the shine of the polished crystal. This play between transparency, carved relief and satin-matte finish enhances the piece’s preciousness and admirably catches the light.
The stem in silvered or patinated regulated metal, with a decidedly Art Deco taste, represents a slender female figure on a stepped octagonal base, adorned with a stylized decor. The alliance of sparkling crystal and sculptural support gives the whole an exceptional presence, as decorative as it is sculptural.
