Spanish school (XVII) - Gesù e la samaritana al pozzo

Antique Spanish painting from the late 17th century. Oil on canvas depicting a religious subject, Jesus and the Samaritan woman at the well, of good painting hand. The work unfolds horizontally; in the background we find a view with architecture and trees of pleasant depth. A piece with a particular arrangement where the subject sits halfway between the religious and the landscape.

A work of handsome size and pleasant decor, for antiquarians, interior designers and collectors of paintings depicting sacred art. The painting has undergone conservative restoration, relining, replacement of the frame, and color retouching in several spots (see photos). It shows a few small signs of time, overall in good condition.
