A Victorian pair of Negretti & Zambra Opera Glasses – Opticians to the Queen – c.1890 Victorian optical excellence with these elegant theatre glasses by the legendary London firm, Negretti & Zambra. Celebrated for their precision instruments and royal patronage, Negretti & Zambra produced only the highest quality glass, and these opera glasses are no exception. Featuring leather-wrapped barrels for a superior grip these glasses offer a tactile connection to the high-society evenings of 19th-century London. The eyepiece is clearly engraved with the iconic "Negretti & Zambra, London" maker's mark. The case measures 12 x 7.5 x 5.5cm.

A great example of early 20th century sophistication and craftsmanship this distinguished piece captures the essence of a bygone era when gentlemen carried such refined accessories for discrete refreshment, an essential accompaniment to any outdoor sporting pursuit. Measurements: 9.5cm tall (approximately 3.75 inches)
