Beautiful and tall Adan figure from Ghana. The treatment is minimalist, the volumes are simplified, mixing round and oval shapes with straighter and more angular parts. The torso is a rectangle, the bust a tube and the hips two elongated ovals. It has no arms. The face is beautiful, impassive, hinting at a gentle and radiant smile. The ears are indicated by triangular slits. The statuette is covered with red and white pigments. Lovely old patina. The wood is damaged at the leg level, the feet are missing, see photos. Sold as is. A beautiful antique and authentic collector's item. Circa 1960.

Beau et grand personnage Adan du Ghana. Le traitement est minimaliste, les volumes sont simplifiés, mélangeant formes rondes et ovales à des parties plus droites et anguleuse. Le torse et un rectangle, le buste un tube et les hanches deux ovales allongés. Il n'a pas de bras. Le visage est beau, impassible, esquissant un sourire doux et rayonnant. Les oreilles sont signalés par des fentes en triangles. La statuette est recouverte de pigments rouge et blanc. Belle patine ancienne. Le bois est abimé au niveau des jambes, les pieds sont manquants, voir photos. Vendu en l'état. Un bel objet de collection ancien et authentique. Circa 1960.
