Parker Duofold Centenn fountain pen in black resin with gold‑plated clip and rings, 18k gold nib, 13.6 cm long and 1.3 cm in diameter, origin United States, dating from 2000–2010, in good used condition and in working order.
Description from the seller
A0000004413
The fountain pen is presented in very good overall condition, highlighting excellent aesthetic and functional preservation. The body and cap in black resin maintain a high original shine, with deep and uniform reflections that enhance its classical elegance. No cracks, fissures, or deformations are observed, only very light micro-signs of use typical of the passage of time and careful use, practically imperceptible to the naked eye.
The gold-plated elements — arrow-shaped clip and rings — are in very good condition, with clean and homogeneous gilding, without significant plating loss or evident wear. The overall piece maintains a very attractive aesthetic presence.
The original Parker nib made of solid 18-carat gold is in excellent condition, perfectly aligned, without deformations and with a well-preserved tip. The feed is clean and in proper condition, guaranteeing an adequate ink flow.
The cartridge/converter filling system works correctly, having been inspected and serviced, ready for immediate use.
Overall, it is a very well-preserved piece, with an ideal balance between use and care, fully functional and with an aesthetic that reflects the quality of the Duofold range.
Conservation recommendations
To preserve its condition, it is recommended to use high-quality inks specific to fountain pens, avoid pigmented inks, periodically clean with lukewarm water if not used for a while, thoroughly dry before storing, keep in a dry place away from direct light or extreme temperatures, and always operate the filling system gently.
It will be sent in a courtesy box for proper preservation.
Best of luck with the auction!
