Description from the seller
A stunning example of a fully restored Kawasaki Z1 in their first year of production. This is the Candy Yellow/Green version. Originally delivered to Sweden in May 1973 with full european spec. (including long rear fender. )
Fully restored to collectors' standards at significant expense, from ground-up, in 2025.
Restoration used the majority of original parts which were refurbished and many of which carry the original date stamps etc. Those parts which could not be reused were replaced with NOS (new old stock) parts where they were available. Aftermarket/pattern parts were used only where necessary. All parts have been verified as original/period correct via specialist expertise.
Photographic record of the restoration includes before and after images showing date stamping on key parts.
Full engine rebuild undertaken by Stephen Smethurst in UK.
Frame and engine numbers matching and verified as correct by the Z1OC (UK) in collaboration with Kawasaki.
Frame has been checked as straight and certified as such (all certs available to view and will be provided with other documentation as part of sale.)
Motorcycle featured on the Z1 Owners Club (UK) stand at the Stafford Classic motorcycle show in October 2025.
