A Japanese-made tsuba (sword guard) featuring a samurai and demon motif with inlaid metals.
This exquisitely crafted Japanese iron tsuba features a powerful motif of a samurai and a demon. The figure of a samurai standing above the demon is meticulously carved, symbolizing strength and protection from evil spirits.
The tsuba is made of iron and features inlaid metals such as copper, brass, and gold plating. The facial expression and decorative highlights create a beautiful contrast with the dark iron base color.
