Publisher's green cloth binding, cover and spine decorated with illustrations and titled in gilt, publisher's blind stamp on the lower cover, illustrated endpapers printed in green, top edge stained green. Thirteen color plates, including a frontispiece, protected by captioned tissue guards (one tissue guard has a tear), 51 black and white drawings, nineteen of which are full-page. A copy in very good condition with slight browning around the pages due to the book's age. A stain on page 170 (see photo).
