Jérôme Massier Vallauris (A.M.) – Large hand-painted ceramic bowl / wall plaque – France – approx. 1950-1970

Wonderful large graceful ceramic bowl from the well-known Jérôme Massier workshop in Vallauris, southern France. The piece is richly hand-painted with a colorful floral decor in relief, consisting of cornflowers, daisies, poppies and ears in typical Mediterranean style.

Vallauris was internationally known in the 20th century for its artistic ceramic production, with ateliers such as Massier playing an important role.

The piece can be used as a decorative bowl, centerpiece, or wall decoration.

Condition

Good vintage condition with normal signs of use and aging.
A few small chips/rim damage to the glaze on the decorative edge, visible in the photos.
