This exceptional and extremely rare NOKI classic racing motorcycle from 1978 is a true piece of motorsport history. Not a replica, not a reconstruction, but an authentic machine with a proven race history at the highest level.
In 1978 this engine was ridden by Wulf Gerstemaier during the legendary Isle of Man TT – one of the most demanding and prestigious road races in the world. There he achieved an impressive 18th place, a feat that underlines the quality and reliability of this machine.
The heart of this racer is formed by a Yamaha TZ350 production race engine block, at the time the standard for competitive two-stroke performance. This block is known for its raw power, immediate throttle response, and pure racing character.
The chassis was built by Norbert Kienzler (NoKi), a name synonymous among connoisseurs with innovative and high-quality frame constructions. The geometry and balance of this machine are exceptional, in part thanks to a unique design where the rear swingarm pivots at the height of the drive sprocket. This ingenious system keeps the chain tension constant, resulting in optimal traction and stability – a principle later adopted by top manufacturers such as Bimota.
