Description from the seller
Montblanc - vintage 215 - Ballpoint Pen
Germany - Second half of the 20th century
Legendary vintage Montblanc ballpoint pen No. 215, originally launched in 1955. This historic piece stands out for its iconic 1950s torpedo shape, the black precious resin finish with gold-plated rings, and the prominent Montblanc white star at the top.
Historical and Technical Features
Internal Lever Mechanism (11th Finger): It is known for introducing the innovative patented mechanism in which a lever hidden beneath the clip activates the feed. When you clip the pen to a shirt or jacket pocket, the fabric presses the clip, forcing the lever to retract the nib automatically. This completely prevented accidental ink stains on clothing.
Compatibility and Writing: Designed originally in the late 1950s to pair with the famous Montblanc 252, 254 and 256 lever-fill pens. Today, these vintage pens are often adapted with modern compatible refills (such as Schneider) to maintain smooth and functional writing in daily use.
