Garrison/Location: Zabern (today Saverne, Alsace)
Service years: 1901 – 1903
Reservist’s name: Reservist Rosenbaum
Motive: * Front: Magnificent, hand-painted porcelain medalion with a troop shoulder strap badge (“99”), imperial crown, oak leaves, flags, and the inscription “Parole Heimat”. In the lower banner: “Des Kaisers Rock u. dieses Zeichen kann jedem Mann zu Stolz gereichen”.
Back: Humorous, colorful farewell scene with a soldier riding a billy-goat (“Wohin Res. Rosenbaum... Nach Haus Herr Feldwebel...”).
Closure: Original screw cap (tin/metal cap) crowned with a sculpted, detailed eagle with spread wings. The cap can be completely removed (see photos).
Accessories: The original cord (carrying strap) in the typical regional colours is also still present.
Condition:

The outer metal ring holds the bottle together in principle, however the lower holder (hinge/clamp) no longer closes firmly (see close-up photo).
