Description from the seller
French antique mantel clock from the 20th century, made of ormolu (gilded bronze) with porcelain pillars in blue-green enamel, painted with romantic figures in a pastoral scene.
French production around 1900-2000, inspired by Sèvres porcelain with hand-painted tableaux of figures in a landscape, typical of neoclassical or Louis XVI revival designs. The mechanism shows a visible movement with Roman numerals and a pendulum, without visible maker’s marks in the photos, but comparable to clocks by makers such as Henry Marc or Vincenti & Cie of Paris.
