Description from the seller

Beautiful antique jar with lid, barbotine or majolica pottery, the pot is shaped like a tree trunk and the handle like a branch, typical of the organic forms and colors characteristic of the Art Nouveau era (1890-1910). Probably French, bottom marked 225 A.

Fantastic and rare object from around the turn of the century, fragile and elegant, much pottery from that period has not stood the test of time.

This object is in good antique condition in keeping with its age, not perfectly intact but that is almost impossible for such a fragile item with that age, two hairline cracks on the inside of the rim, a chip from the underside of the lid as well as a few hairline cracks, but overall it remains nicely sturdy, check the photos for more details!

Dimensions: 17 cm diameter, 22 cm high.

Weight: 1.057 kg.
