Decorative tray - Germany - Large Art Deco tray

A large and decorative Art Deco tray from the interwar period (circa 1920–1930).

The oval cream-colored porcelain tray is painted with a atmospheric rural scene with water, forest and a village with mountains in the background. The warm sepia and brown tones give it an elegant appearance.

The tray is mounted in an openworked metal rim and equipped with two decorated tin handles. It rests on four small tin ornamental feet. This combination of porcelain and tin is characteristic of production from the Art Deco period.

On the underside marked with model number “180”.
