Description from the seller
An ring with notable visual presence in 925 sterling silver plated with 18 karat yellow gold, characterized by an articulated floral composition and the color pairing between natural rubies and emeralds.
At the center of the composition is a 7 mm oval cabochon ruby, mounted in a raised position with open prongs. The smooth surface of the cabochon enhances the depth of color and creates a soft, uniform luminous effect.
Around the central stone develops a floral-motif structure composed of faceted emeralds with pear-cut sizes of 5 x 4 mm and 4 x 3 mm, arranged radially in a regular pattern. The emeralds display intense green tones with slight natural internal variations, visible especially in the larger stones.
The composition is further enriched by round faceted rubies of 2 and 3 mm, inserted among the emeralds to create a vivid but balanced color contrast. The alternating arrangement of the stones contributes to giving movement and variety to the composition.
The setting features a pierced, raised framework that visually lightens the upper volume of the ring and promotes light passage between the gems. The numerous visible prongs emphasize the ornamental character of the jewel and recall the decorative jewelry style of vintage-inspired design.
The ring stands out for its substantial visual presence and for a rich but orderly construction, with an aesthetics that evokes vintage floral arrangements and cocktail jewelry from the second half of the 20th century, characterized by ample volumes and a complex arrangement of the gems.
Total weight of the stones is about 8.20 carats. Inside the shank is engraved the mark with the title Sterling silver 925. The inner diameter of the ring is 18 millimeters, corresponding to the following international sizes:
Sterling 925 plated with 18 kt gold / Stamp 925
Stones: Rubies and Emeralds
Size: IT-ES 17 / FR 57 / USA 8 / UK P / DE 17,75
Weight: 6.80 grams
Valuation of the Jewelry
This ring stands out mainly for the successful balance between compositional complexity and visual harmony: although it presents a large and articulated structure, it maintains a clear and elegant visual reading. The color contrast between the central ruby cabochon and the emeralds creates a very pleasant visual depth, perceivable especially in person. The set recalls the taste of the great vintage cocktail rings, reinterpreted through balanced proportions and a strong but never excessive presence.
