Art Deco Plateel Faience Vase – Gouda, Holland

A distinctive and colorful faience vase from Gouda, executed in a striking and typical decor from the first half of the 20th century. This model immediately stands out for its bold Art Deco design with double ear handles and the rich, hand-painted decoration in warm shades of yellow, orange, green, and purple on a contrasting black base. The graceful linework and floral motifs create a lively and elegant whole that catches the eye in any interior.

The vase is marked on the bottom with “Gouda Holland,” confirming its origin and authenticity. The glaze has a beautiful gloss and the colors have remained fresh and vibrant.

Condition:
The vase is in good condition. At the top there is one very professionally executed restoration (see close-up photo). This has been done professionally and is barely visible, but it is disclosed transparently.

A beautiful collectible for enthusiasts of Dutch plateel, Art Deco, and Gouda ceramics, but also a decorative statement piece for a modern interior.
