This monumental composition in black, white and red perfectly illustrates Clavé’s experimental work around matter and relief engraving. The work combines deep textures, embossing, visual collages and graphical elements evoking mechanical fragments or abstract architectures.
The famous “red line”, vertical and vibrant, traverses the composition like a scar or a tension line, contrasting with the black masses and the reserved areas of the paper.
