Michael Thonet style - Rocking chair - Wood

Steam-bent curved wood rocking chair, with seat and back in natural cane. Structure with elegant, organic lines, in the style of Michael Thonet, notable for its sinuous arms and decorative volute elements on the runners. Produced in Central Europe, Austria or the former Czechoslovakia, dating to the mid-20th century, circa 1930–1950. Well-made, in light wood with a honey finish, featuring the typical construction of Austro-Hungarian bentwood furniture. In good overall condition. Original cane and well preserved. Ideal for classical interiors, Art Nouveau, mid-century, or contemporary decor with organic-inspired styling.
