Elegant oval tray in Sterling Silver 925/1000 attributed to the Watrous Manufacturing Company, historic American manufacturer later merged into the International Silver Company.
The contoured edge features rich Art Nouveau / Liberty decoration with floral motifs, foliate scrolls and shells rendered with repoussé and chasing techniques. The central part is smooth and mirror-polished, creating a refined contrast with the decorated frame.
The model is identified by the code C3029, present in the historical catalogs of Watrous production. The piece dates from the late 19th century to the early decades of the 20th century (circa 1896–1915), a period of great production of American silverware from New England.
