Chess set - "La Reconquista" - composite wood, bronze and alloy pins

Imposing historic medieval chess set with bronze/metal alloy figures representing “La Reconquista” and the clashes between Christian and Muslim troops from the late Middle Ages to the time of the Crusades.

This lot includes a spectacular structure measuring 47X47CMX6CM (in the shape of a pyramidal base) made of varied materials with beautiful designs on all faces. At its top there is a lovely chessboard which can be used to play chess, and also serves to protect the board.

Moreover, the chess set includes a full set of 32 highly detailed metal pieces (the pawns on each side have colored shields painted with enamel). representing the Christian and Muslim factions. The pieces measure between 6.5 and 8 cm. The pieces are perfectly protected and are stored inside another larger structure.

Both the piece, the structure and the board are in very good condition (see photos).
