Description from the seller

It is a piece that breathes that more fantastical Art Nouveau, the one that does not fear mixing the organic line with a touch of theatricality almost mythological. The lamp unfolds from a central body of worked bronze, where the curves flow like stems opening into a spiral. From that nucleus emanate five arms, each crowned with a gargoyle that seems to emerge from the metal, with gaping jaws and wings suggested in a modeling full of movement. They are not mere ornaments: they function as symbolic guardians, figures that add character and a powerful presence to the whole.

Between those creatures and the main body hang the hand-cut crystals, thick, transparent, with a geometric and vegetal design that captures light and multiplies it into warm flashes. Each shade looks like a crystallized flower, a luminous chalice that softens the gargoyles’ strength and balances the composition. The contrast between aged golden metal and the purity of the glass creates a dialogue very much of the turn-of-the-century: exquisite craftsmanship, fantasy, and a taste for the symbolic that turns the lamp into something more than a mere functional object.
