This special Deanston “Chronicles – 60th Anniversary Edition” was created to celebrate 60 years of Deanston Distillery and represents a remarkable tribute to six decades of whisky craftsmanship. Released as a distillery exclusive in 2026, this unique Highland single malt combines whisky from six carefully selected casks originating from six different decades, all harmonised through a rare Porto Lágrima cask finish. The result is an exceptionally layered and elegant whisky that perfectly reflects Deanston’s innovative spirit and distinctive house style.

This expression was bottled at 47.8% ABV, non-chill filtered and with natural colour, preserving the whisky’s full authenticity and character. The complex cask composition includes Oloroso sherry, refill oak, virgin oak, Armagnac, Cadillac wine and Burgundy casks, creating a rich interplay of sweetness, spice, fruit and oak influence.

The nose is waxy and mature with aromas of polished oak, dried fruits, coconut, vanilla, red berries and gentle floral sweetness. On the palate, honeyed malt and baked apple develop into dark chocolate, dried fruits, citrus peel and warming spice notes. The finish is long and elegant, revealing layers of red fruit, cocoa, honey and refined oak spice with a delicate floral touch.
