Description
A finely painted Chinese porcelain saucer from the Kangxi period (1662–1722), decorated in underglaze cobalt blue of exceptionally high quality.
The decoration is executed with remarkable detail and precision, featuring an elegant floral composition accompanied by an insect and a butterfly. The refined brushwork and balanced design are characteristic of superior Kangxi porcelain production.
The reverse bears a symbol mark within a double circle, a typical feature found on quality wares of the period. The porcelain body is bright and finely potted, further enhancing the delicate appearance of the piece.
A particularly attractive and well-preserved example of Kangxi blue and white porcelain.
