Bedeutende französische Folio-Ausgabe von 1720 zur Geschichte und Verehrung des Brüsseler „Très-Saint Sacrement de Miracle“. Pierre Cafmeyers Werk schildert die Entstehung und Ausbreitung dieses spätmittelalterlichen eucharistischen Kultes und ist zugleich ein eindrucksvolles Zeugnis barocker Frömmigkeits- und Festkultur in den südlichen Niederlanden. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die reiche Ausstattung mit zahlreichen gestochenen Tafeln, darunter mehrfach Faltkupfer, welche Prozessionen, Festdekorationen und die ikonographische Überlieferung des Mirakels anschaulich dokumentieren. Die Ausgabe erschien in Brüssel in französischer Sprache, übersetzt von George de Backer, und zählt zu den dekorativsten Darstellungen dieses bedeutenden lokalen Kultes.

17x11cm. 205 S., Gebundene Ausgabe, jedoch Einband fehlend. Seiten etwas gebräunt. Die letzten drei Blatt stoßfleckig mit einzelnen Textläsuren. Reich illustriert mit 21 ganzseitigen Kupferstichen (davon 3 tels mehrfach faltbar) sowie eine Illustration im Text mit zwei Medaillen.
