Description from the seller

Uranium-green glass pendant lamp, rare model, Scailmont, Art Deco
This Art Deco lamp features a relatively rare design and is ideal for a smaller room or hallway.

The wiring and the ceiling canopy were renewed with original parts (bakelite), so it can be hung immediately.

Exterior with marbled glass and the interior with white opaline glass. It contains uranium glass, therefore it glows under UV light.

more information about annagreen or uranium glass:

Between 1870 and 1940 uranium—or annagreen—glass was produced on a fairly large scale. Since uranium glass is still rarely produced today, it is a popular collectible. Uranium was usually added in small amounts so that the green or yellow glass fluoresces when illuminated under ultraviolet light. It was mainly used in lamps, bowls, wine glasses,… notably by the glassworks Leerdam, Scailmont, Doyen Glass and Val Saint Lambert.

Dimensions: shade height 10 cm x Ø 19 cm
