Montblanc - Meisterstück LeGrand (Mod. 161) - Pen

In this presentation we introduce the “elder sister” of the most famous line from the Hamburg craftsmanship, a tool with impressive proportions that does not go unnoticed: the magnificent Montblanc Meisterstück LeGrand Ballpoint Pen (Model 161) with yellow gold finishes.

Compared to the Classique model (Model 164), the LeGrand stands out for a barrel diameter and weight that are significantly greater, offering a sense of extraordinary solidity and an exceptionally comfortable grip, ideal for those with large hands or who prefer writing instruments with a more “substantial” feel. The cigar shape is made in glossy black precious resin, magnificently highlighted by the traditional yellow gold-plated finishes present on the three solid bands, on the clip, and on the generous end cap. On the voluminous cap dome proudly sits the unmistakable emblem of the white Montblanc star.

Operation relies on a very precise and smooth continuous twist mechanism. Your excellent photographs of the pen disassembled reveal a fundamental technical detail for this model and to attest its absolute genuineness: the robust internal brass threading, gold-plated, a distinctive feature of the LeGrand compared to the smaller versions. Inside there is the original Montblanc refill.

The cosmetic condition is to be considered in excellent overall condition. The black resin maintains a mirror-like finish and is entirely free of cracks, chips, or deep scratches; only the physiological and almost imperceptible micro-scratches (hairlines) scattered on the body are noticeable, stemming from normal handling. The gold plating is vivid and bright. The serial code is regularly engraved on the clip ring. The lot is offered individually, without the original box.
