Vintage collectible hybrid instrument made in the USA by the famous Ronson brand. The object combines a mechanical pencil with a classic gasoline lighter incorporated into the housing.
Make and Model: RONSON – PENCILITER (First Generation)
Authenticity Marks: Clearly engraved on the upper metal collar with the model name, patent number (RE. PAT. 19023) and the manufacturing location "Newark, N.J. U.S.A.". The trigger is also stamped with the "Ronson" logo.
Period: Production made between 1935 and 1942.
Materials: Chrome-plated upper body, finely engraved with a geometric pattern in checks and stripes. The lower grip section is made of premium celluloid with a gorgeous green pearlescent marble texture.
Pencil Mechanism: Activation by rotating the metal tip with a serrated ring for grip (uses 1.1 mm thick leads).
Lighter Mechanism: Mechanical system with wick and gear wheel.
Aesthetics: Excellent vintage condition for its age. The colors and mother-of-pearl of the green section are intact and bright, with no cracks in the celluloid. All factory inscriptions are perfectly legible.
Operation: The lighter is tested and fully functional, producing a stable flame when triggered. The pencil mechanism slides correctly by rotation. A rare complete piece, ready for use or direct display in the collection
