An elegant Japanese lacquerware document box, or 文箱 (Bunbako), decorated with refined 山茶花 (Sazanka) floral motifs executed in 蒔絵 (Maki-e) style. The rich deep red lacquer ground beautifully complements the gold, white, and green floral decoration, creating a graceful seasonal composition associated with traditional Japanese aesthetics.

Signed 漆画山久 (Shitsuga Sankyū), the piece reflects the decorative lacquer artistry popular in the late Shōwa period, combining practical function with ornamental craftsmanship.
