Emiliano Picciolo graduated in Photography and Graphic Design from an Art High School, starting his career specializing in portrait photography and commercial still life.
In 2019 he received a special mention at the European competition PhotoVue (held in the Netherlands and promoted by BenQ) for his portrait work, a recognition that highlighted his refined artistic vision.
His research focuses on artistic nude, a genre he defines as “humanscape photography.”
His work is distinguished by a particular attention to contrasts and the dialogue between fullness and emptiness, creating geometries and points of light shaped by natural light—his main source of inspiration and subject of study in daily life. He favors black and white and integrates digital and analog techniques to give form to his vision.
In 2021 he founded Mellor’s Studio, a visual arts laboratory, where he has developed commercial projects and presented his works in a permanent exhibition. Parallel to his professional activity, Emiliano is deeply involved in training, regularly teaching photography, editing and fine-art printing techniques.
