In the auction we present one of the most iconic tools of the modern design of the Hamburg-based maison, famous for its aerodynamic lines and innovative spirit: the Montblanc StarWalker Platinum Resin Fineliner / Roller pen.
Born to celebrate the spirit of exploration and space conquest, the StarWalker collection stands out immediately for its most famous architectural detail: the transparent dome on the top of the cap, inside which the emblem of the white star seems to literally float, recalling the silhouette of the Earth seen from the lunar horizon.
The body and the cap are made of fine glossy black resin, creating a beautiful contrast with the bright platinum-plated finishes on the clip and rings. The true centerpiece of this specific variant (first generation) is the metal-handled grip section with a refined cross-hatch guilloché pattern. This industrial-sounding finish not only gives the pen a gritty aesthetic, but ensures an exceptional non-slip grip during writing.
