Ph. J. Maul - Scale - Iron, Aluminium, Brass

Offered: a special German letter scale provided with two weighing options.
The standard weighing platform is located at the top of the scale. The second weighing section is on the side of the scale and is for letters or small other items.

On the scale there is a nameplate of the maker, Ph. J. Maul Hamburg.

The weighing range of this special scale runs from:
0 to 2000 grams with counterweight folded down.
0 to 500 grams with counterweight folded up.
0 to 100 grams when using the weighing section for letters.

The mechanism with the pendulum arm and reversible counterweight makes this an interesting and decorative object for collectors of old measuring instruments, industrial design, or retro office accessories.

Condition:
In used but neat vintage condition, with normal signs of age and use.
