Ceramic wall relief by the German maker Ruscha, Blumen Wandrelief, featuring a floral decor in red and blue with dark outlines; dimensions 33 × 15 × 1.5 cm, weight about 1,650 g, origin Germany, dating from 1960–1970, in good used condition with minor signs of aging.
Description from the seller
Decorative ceramic wall panel by the well-known German manufacturer Ruscha Keramik (Rheinbach), one of the most important West German studio ceramic producers from the 1950s to the 1970s. Ruscha is particularly known for its expressive glazes, strong color impact, and distinctive, graphic designs – features that this piece also bears.
The wall panel shows a floral motif in vividly bright, high-contrast red and blue blossoms, framed by dark outlines. The surface has the typical Ruscha look: textured, slightly relief-embossed, and with an intense glaze that appears very lively in light. On the back there is a sturdy hanger, so the piece can be decoratively placed immediately.
The plaque has no signature on the reverse but is nevertheless attributed to Ruscha. In particular, older Ruscha panels from the 1950s were not always signed.
Dimensions: 33 x 15 x 1.5 cm
Weight: approx. 1,650 grams.
The plaque comes from family ownership and is in excellent condition.
