Antique shoe buckle from the 18th century, Silver/Steel, Louis XVI era.
Very substantial silver shoe buckle, solid, bearing no hallmark, which is quite common for an 18th-century shoe buckle (this one has been tested with appropriate silver acid).
The fastener system is made of steel
Old patina
Wear from use
It would seem that two stones are set on the reverse side.
Some color variations due to the use of foils. Otherwise a very beautiful museum piece
Dimensions approximately 9 cm by 4.8 cm with a height of about 4.2 cm

Très importante boucle de chaussure en argent, massif, ne portant aucun poinçon ce qui tout à fait courant pour une boucle de chaussure  du XVIIIe siècle ( celle-ci a ététestée avec acide approprié à l’argent 
Le système d’attache est en acier

il semblerait que 2 pierres soient serties à l’envers. Quelques différences de couleurs dues à l’usage des paillons. Sinon très belle pièce de musée
