Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
Novag Acuamarine Stile from the United States, in good condition, dating to 1990–2000, with a wooden framed chessboard and magnetised pieces that are read by sensors to record moves.
Description from the seller
It’s a Novag Aquamarine Stile, one of those home chess computers that defined an era with its distinctive blend of wood, electronics, and almost artisanal presence. The board combines a wooden frame with cream and brown squares, maintaining that warm air that made these models feel closer to traditional chess than to a digital gadget.
The magnetic pieces — light and dark, all in their starting positions — are light yet sturdy, designed so that every move is perfectly recorded by the board’s sensors. That magnetization is key in this model: it prevents slipping, guarantees correct readings, and allows play even on slightly unstable surfaces.
On the left you’ll find the original charger, an important detail because many of these units disappeared over time. Also accompanying are the user manuals, complete and in good condition, which explain the levels of play, setup, move verification, and training functions.
On the right side of the board are the characteristic Novag controls: buttons for setup, level, verify, color and other functions that let you adjust difficulty, review moves, or change the viewpoint of the game. All of it preserves the 80s–90s aesthetic, with simple icons and a clear design.
Overall, it is a complete, functional, and very well-preserved unit, ideal for both collectors and those who enjoy the charm of the first home chess computers.
Shipped with tracking and secure packaging.
