Description from the seller
Old metronome. Wood type teak.
The metronome consists of an inverted pendulum.

Inside the mechanism there is parchment-like paper bearing the printed Italian musical terms presto, allegro, andante, adagio, larghetto and largo, with a small drawing/symbol printed at the bottom.
The metronome can be wound with the accompanying key.
The front is finished with a brass plate bearing the inscription Maelzel.
Johann Nepomuk Maelzel is known as a metronome maker around 1820, there is a patent that Maelzel registered in Paris. But it was sold in Germany.
