Description from the seller

German Art Deco silver overlay perfume bottle from the 1920s/30s of the previous century.
The perfume bottle is made of porcelain, pure silver and with a metal cap.
The (Noble) blue bottle has an image of Het Paleis het Loo in Apeldoorn.
The palace was inhabited by members of the Dutch royal family until 1975. Since 1984 it has been opened to the public as Nationaal Museum Paleis het Loo and
exhibitions and events are held there. The palace is owned by the State of the Netherlands. The management and maintenance of the buildings are carried out by the Stichting Paleis Het Loo.

The perfume bottles are now a coveted collectible item and are becoming increasingly scarce.
This specimen is in good condition and may soon adorn your home!
It has been certified with the old (import) Dutch tax mark.

Condition: good with normal signs of age-related use.

Note: The small middle stroke is missing from the letter e.
: the stopper has been replaced at some point by a kind of tape.

See all the photos please (also for the dimensions)
They form part of the description.
Obviously well-packaged for shipping.

Please Note:

The displays made of Plexiglas are not part of this lot.
(these are only intended to optimize the photos)
Good luck with your bidding!

The German inventor Friedrich Deusch patented the silver-overlay
process in 1895 and demonstrated his work in 1907 at the Bordeaux exhibition.
Thanks to him the town of Schwäbisch Gmünd became the centre of German production of silver coatings.

The first objects Friedrich Deusch designed and produced are very classical, followed by an abstract phase of Art Deco in its purest form.

After Deusch and Company other companies were founded that specialised in this technique, such as that of Friedrich Wilhelm Spahr and that of Alfred and Manfred Veyhl. Parallel to the development of German production, a similar one began in the United States.
