Dubbelzak, Khordjin - Khordjin - Turkey

Beautiful double bag; the colors and size are typical of Kurdish nomads from the Hakkari region in eastern Turkey. The line patterns and width also refer to a nomadic weave. There is no system to cinch the bags shut, therefore the openings are close together. In very good condition, only the tassels have come loose a bit. A typical item used by nomadic communities to store clothing during transport.
