Rare. Exceptionally large handcrafted Chinese ceramic chess set, completely handmade.
The board and the pieces are very large and heavy.
Difficult to date. The origin is clearly China.
All the pieces are different, handmade and painted.
The pawns measure up to 16 cm in height; it’s very impressive.
The board, also ceramic, measures 45 cm per side.
This game is more of a Chinese folk art object than a simple chess set.
No signature or information about its origin.
Very good overall condition.
Small minor wear on one edge of the board (see photo).
Extremely decorative object that catches the eye.
For collectors of rare chess sets or for lovers of Asian and Chinese folk art. Total weight about 10 kg.
