Coenraad Mel - Heilige Oudheidskenner - 1742

Illustrated with a frontispiece (with a portrait of Mel) and 6 (of 7) mostly fold-out engravings of Jewish and pagan antiquities, including a ship with oar propulsion and a coach for determining coordinates. Contemporary half-leather binding with marbled boards (corners later reinforced with cardboard).

Condition: Wear to binding, ex-libris verso to frontispiece, some ex-library stamps, a few pencil notes and loose pages. See photos as part of the description. All in all a reasonably good to good copy.
