Exquisite Art Deco / Mid-Century Modern-style desk lamp, in yellow jaspeado glass and opal. Of Italian origin, made in the 1950s/60s.
As the main element of the lamp we have the base and blown glass body with a captivating marbled or "splatter" effect in vibrant yellows, ochres and opalescent white veining.
The stylized silhouette, reminiscent of a modern amphora or a stretched-neck vase, creates great visual dynamism. When lit, the glass acts as an organic diffuser, revealing the richness of the internal textures and projecting a warmly ambient light. Two light points on the shade and the body of the lamp.
It features a beautiful original patina on the neck with aged brass. Notably the upper structure of the shade holder, crowned at the ends with delicate leaf-shaped sculpted figures in the "Hollywood Regency" style.
Original cone-shaped shade with a fibrous texture that imitates parchment or thick linen fabric.
