Artist Profile:
Born in Shizuoka Prefecture in 1951. Participated in the Épinal Biennale (France) in 1977 and the Bradford International Print Biennale (UK) in 1979. He has won awards including an award at the Bradford International Print Biennale and the Shunyokai Oka Shanosuke Award. He has been introducing traditional woodblock prints to the world and working to popularize woodblock prints.
