Alain Le Quernec ( °1944)
Alain Le Quernec is a French graphic designer and poster artist, born in 1944 in Le Faouët (Morbihan, France). He is widely regarded as one of France’s most important contemporary poster designers, known for his sharp political commentary, minimalist visual language, and strong ties to the Polish School of Poster Art.
A militant poster artist whose work spans political, social, cultural, and environmental causes.
Trained in Paris, then studied in the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw under Henryk Tomaszewski, a major influence on his conceptual, idea‑driven style.
