Joannes Florentius Martinet is the author/illustrator of Het Vereenigd Nederland, an 1788 illustrated Dutch history book published by Allart Johannes in a hardback binding, 17 × 11 cm, 605 pages, original language, in reasonable condition, featuring a hand‑coloured map, 12 engravings on 6 plates and 3 fold‑out tables with facsimile signatures in the Geïllustreerde druk edition.

Jan Floris Martinet - The United Netherlands by J.F. Martinet - Amsterdam, Johannes Allart, 1788 - (10_ 605 (15) pp - Late 19th-century binding.
Fair. Label on the spine and remnants of a second label. Some nicks along the edges. A tear, 2 cm, in the inner margin of the last content leaf. Page 1/2 loose. Inside pages browned, here and there a spot, damp spot at the top of the page from the beginning up to page 10, then damp spots in the top and inner margins from pages 9 to 19, a light damp spot in the side margin from page 33 to about 120 – gradually lighter, from page 331 to the end a light damp spot in the side margin to the end from page 575 clearly develop and intensify from page 600 to the end. Tear in the top margin, 2 cm, on pages 1 to 8, as well as a 1 cm tear in the margin of about eight leaves. Some foxing.
Contains a hand-colored map - tear at the bottom and top inside margin about 3 cm; two tears of 1 cm in the top margin, two tears at the bottom folds - just not reaching into the image, damp spot on the top margin and 12 engravings on 6 plates (sharp crease in the margins of all plates) and 3 folding tables with signatures in facsimile (lower edge of the third table somewhat frayed) - all depicted.
