Description from the seller

Gerardo Sacco - Ornamental brazier in 800 silver - "Handmade" - Crotone, Italy

Refined ornamental brazier (centerpiece) in 800 silver, entirely hand-chased by the renowned Crotonese master goldsmith Gerardo Sacco, internationally known for his creations that evoke Magna-Greek and Mediterranean art.

Design: The rim is embellished with two majestic apotropaic masks (masks of Greek tradition, typical of Sacco's style) chased with meticulous attention to detail.

Bottom finish: The central basin is characterized by a hand-hammered finish that creates dynamic, luminous reflections.

Stamping and signature: On the bottom, the autograph inscription "G. Sacco - Fatto a mano" (Made by hand), the 800 silver hallmark, and the factory mark < 1 KR>*, clearly visible, identify Gerardo Sacco's workshop as the first and oldest in Crotone.

Specifications:
Author: Gerardo Sacco
Material: 800 silver (stamped)
Craft: Hand-engraved and chased
Diameter: 23 cm
Weight: 383 grams

Conditions: Excellent conservation condition, with slight signs of aging that attest to its authenticity and use (please examine the photos carefully).

Notes for collectors: A work that blends goldsmithing art and classical culture. Objects by Gerardo Sacco are often chosen as gifts for high-ranking officials and celebrities, making this brazier a piece of great value not only for the weight of the metal but for the author’s signature.
