Description from the seller
48 silver stamps Franklin Mint 1983 rare collection. I am selling here a very special series of 48 stamps made of .925 silver. Le Medaillier Franklin, this is the French branch of Franklin Mint. The complete collection of 100 silver beards weighs a little over 100 grams of silver. So these 48 beards will be about 50 grams of silver. It may differ by a few grams since they are not weighed in the sealed cardboard. I am not liable for that.
Of the 48 there are 2 duplicates, so 46 unique specimens. Sealed. 6 pieces are in another cardboard without inscription. 2 pieces in a white cardboard without inscription.
Of 36 pieces I have the original card included. Of 10 stamps not, although I still have 4 cards left that probably belong to one of these 10.
The collection "Les 100 plus grands timbres du monde en argent massif" (The 100 greatest stamps in the world in solid silver) is a well-known luxury collector’s set. It was released in 1983 in France and Belgium by Le Médaillier Franklin (LMF), the French-speaking branch of the famous American Franklin Mint. This consists of miniature silver beards that faithfully reproduce the most important and legendary stamps in world history. Material: Made from 925/1000 sterling silver (solid silver). Weight: The silver stamps are produced in miniature form. The total net weight of pure silver of the 100 miniatures together is around 107 to 120 grams. So these 48 beards/stamps will weigh around 50 grams.
These beards differ in patina due to age. Look closely at the photos when you bid.
