Description from the seller
Robert Pierini (1949-) – Grand blown-glass vase signed and dated 1989 – Unique piece
Superb sculptural vase in blown glass crafted by the French master glassmaker Robert Pierini and signed under the base.
This work, dated 1989, perfectly illustrates the artist's language, characterized by organic forms, a skilled handling of color inclusions, and a constant search for light and matter. The composition pairs an opalescent background with applications of vivid colors – emerald green, turquoise, red, yellow and brown – creating an abstract scene of great visual richness.
The asymmetrical silhouette, underscored by a deep black frame, gives the whole a remarkable sculptural presence. Each face reveals new effects of transparency, depth, and movement.
