Description from the seller

Lovely 4/4 Mittenwald violin, built by Johann REITER (1879 - 1959), a scion of the well-known violin-making family in Mittenwald. The violin has undergone several repairs, professionally carried out by a violin maker. Recently a new bridge has been fitted to the violin. The violin is very finely built and the sound is superbly warm and dominant.
The measurements are:
Total length: 59.1 cm
Scale length: 32.7 cm
Body length: 35.8 cm
Waist: 11.4 cm
Upper bout width: 16.9 cm
Lower bout width: 20.7 cm

Violin and bows described as 'certified' or 'attributed' include images of their certificates and therefore carry a higher degree of documented certainty regarding maker, provenance and age than instruments described only as 'labeled' (violins) or 'stamped' (bows), for which we make no warranty.
