AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Splendid and rare antique perfume bottle shaped like a small jug, a typical luxury production from the Palais Royal period (Paris), datable to the second half of the 19th century (roughly 1860-1880, Napoleone III era).
The object is made of fine apple-green opaline glass (Ouraline). As visible in the photo, the glass contains uranium and reacts intensely to ultraviolet light (Wood lamp / UV), emitting the characteristic and spectacular neon green fluorescence. The glass body is elegantly encased in a sumptuous cage of gilded bronze (ormolu) entirely chased and hand-engraved with dense floral motifs, tendrils, and rococo-style volutes. The handle with a twisted loop and the spout are also finely worked in gilded bronze. A feature entirely common for these Parisian artisanal productions of the era, intended for Grand Tour travelers.
